Why travel with us
The best family trips are not about trying to keep everyone on the same schedule. They are about creating a journey where everyone finds something they love.
One person may be waiting for their first lion sighting. Someone else may remember breakfast overlooking the Serengeti, watching elephants from the lodge, or the afternoon spent relaxing by the pool. That is why we do not force your family into a standard itinerary. We build the safari around you.

Made for family travel
Every family is different, with different ages, energy levels, and needs, and a standard safari itinerary rarely accounts for that. Golden Trip's family safari is built from the ground up around your whole group, so grandparents, parents, and children can all enjoy the same adventure, at a pace that works for everyone.

My family and I took a three-day trip from Arusha to Lake Natron. Ola was a fantastic guide, professional, helpful, but above all he became a friend! We did several daily trips and he always made himself available and participated in the various activities, creating a wonderful relationship with us and sharing moments of joy.

My family just returned from a truly unforgettable two-week journey with Golden Trips Tanzania, and I can't recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, their team was professional, flexible, and genuinely invested in creating a meaningful and curated experience for our family (a group of 4–6 at different points in the trip).

I had the pleasure of experiencing Tanzania with Golden Trips. Let me just say that it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Not only was Golden Trips organized, they went out of their way on every detail to make the experience incredible beyond words. We worked very closely with Joel and let me tell you he is an amazing manager...

Samson was very accommodating when planning our safari. We were not entirely sure what we wanted to do and he worked with us to plan the perfect safari. He gave us a couple of different quotes and explained the difference between them well. He was also able to book us a hot-air balloon ride (which I highly recommend) and accommodations before and after the safari.

Answers to the questions families ask us most before booking a safari.
Plan your family tripYes. Our vehicles, routes, and pacing are all planned with different ages in mind, and our guides are trained to look after every generation in the group.
There is no single age that suits every family. We shape drive times, lodges, activities, and rest stops around your children's ages and your family's travel style.
Health advice depends on your route, season, and personal circumstances. Speak with a qualified travel-health professional before your trip, and we will help you plan a comfortable route.
Tanzania is rewarding throughout the year. The right season depends on the wildlife you hope to see, school dates, preferred weather, and whether you would like to add Zanzibar.
Your final proposal clearly lists transport, accommodation, park fees, meals, guiding, and support. We explain any exclusions before you book.
