Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your dedicated Golden Trips Tanzania guide will meet you and transfer you to your luxury lodge in Arusha. Relax in the lush gardens, enjoy a drink by the pool, and get ready for your adventure. In the evening, your safari guide will brief you on the journey ahead.

Tarangire National Park – Baobabs & Elephants After breakfast, drive (~2 hrs) to Tarangire National Park, a peaceful park known for its giant baobab trees, huge herds of elephants, and rich biodiversity. Explore the riverbanks, grasslands, and swamps where predators and herbivores mingle freely. You’ll likely see giraffes, lions, buffaloes, impalas, and possibly leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot before continuing the game drive. In the afternoon, drive to the lodge in Karatu near Ngorongoro.

Central Serengeti – Big Cats Territory Early breakfast and then drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area into Serengeti National Park, entering through Naabi Hill Gate. Spend the afternoon in Central Serengeti (Seronera) — the heart of the park and home to the highest concentration of big cats in Africa. Game drive en route, watching for lions on kopjes, leopards in trees, and herds of zebra and wildebeest on the plains.

Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater – Highland Views Enjoy a final morning safari in Serengeti with a chance to spot hyenas, cheetahs, and even rhinos if lucky. After brunch or picnic lunch, begin the scenic drive back toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, with game viewing along the way. Arrive at your luxury lodge on the rim of the crater or nearby for a quiet evening, fresh air, and stunning highland views.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha Today you descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. This UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts Africa’s densest population of large animals. During your half-day crater game drive, expect to see: • Black rhinos (very rare elsewhere) • Lions, elephants, buffaloes • Hippos in pools and flamingos on alkaline lakes • Wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, hyenas, jackals After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, you’ll drive back to Arusha (approx. 4 hrs) or transfer directly to the airport for your departure flight.
